SDP – Air Distribution System

SDP Air Distribution System is a part of the KKO round ventilation ducts and fittings product group. It is designed for air distribution in ventilation and air-conditioning systems in buildings, including residential buildings, multi-storey and public utility buildings. It allows distribution of air in mechanical ventilation with heat recovery.

Wide range of distribution boxes in combination with round and rectangular ducts as well as tees, connectors and elbows allow to create a comprehensive system of air distribution in every building. Connecting of the KKO ventilation ducts with other elements and devices of the installation, as well as method of thermal and acoustic insulation of ducts should be specified in the technical design developed for a specific object.

technical data

Elements of the SDP system are made with galvanized steel sheet type DX51D+Z100 (acc to PN-EN 10346:2015 standard) and may be used in areas of atmospheric corrosion class C1 and C2 (acc to PN-EN ISO 9223:2012). Designation of ventilation ducts to a certain purpose in a building shall be described in the technical project that includes usage and type of installation.

Air intake sets provide fresh air into the building. They can be mounted in the walls above or next to the windows in living spaces or in boiler rooms.

Description

ROUND AIR INTAKE SETS:

Air intake set provides fresh air into the building. It is to be mounted above or next to the window, in the wall. Basic version is equipped with an air intake that assures proper air supply from outside. It is constructed in a way that protects from rainwater and is also equipped with wire mesh against rodents. On the side mounted inside the building air intake set is equipped with a flap valve with insulation, that prevents from water vapor condensation in winter as well as reduces noise. Valve allows to regulate the airflow precisely.

Air intake set can be additionally equipped with airflow stabilizer. It controls the airflow: limits the air supply to certain limits as well as protects from backflow.

Air intake set with heater provides fresh and preheated air into the building. Thermostat turns the heating module on when temperature falls below 3°C and switches it off when temperature rises above 10-15°C. Semiconductor heating elements automatically regulate power consumption in relation to the amount and temperature of flowing air. Basic version is equipped with a flap valve. Optionally a version with stabilizer is available.

Each air intake set includes a filter (separately in the box, to be mounted by the user). Filter enables effective capturing of dust and other particles carried by the air.

RECTANGULAR AIR INTAKE SETS:

Air intake set provides fresh air into the building. It is to be mounted in the outside wall. It is equipped with an air intake, main channel and a flap valve. Air intake is an outer element that assures protection: from rainwater, it is also equipped with wire mesh against rodents. On the side mounted inside the building air intake set is equipped with a flap valve with insulation, that disperses incoming air as well as allows to regulate the airflow precisely. Insulation prevents from water vapor condensation in winter as well as reduces noise. Air intake set is connected with flap valve with a channel of adjustable length, that allows to adjust device to wall of 280÷550 mm thicknesses. Air intake set can be additionally equipped with a special directional valve that protects from backflow.

STABILER DRAUGHT STABILIZER

Main purpose of the stabilizer is to reduce excessive flow of air through the ventilation duct.

Description

STABILER-draught stabilizer, designed to be mounted in the horizontal section of the ventilation duct of natural or hybrid ventilation systems – directly behind a entilation grille. Main purpose of the device is to reduce an excessive extraction of air through the ventilation duct. It is constructed in a special way to allow the flow of extract air up to a certain limit. Small airflow meets low resistance. Every time the flow of air gets bigger and rises above the limit, damper closes gradually and flow of air is reduced and maintained at the proper level. Maximum air flow rates are set in accordance with Polish regulations on ventilation. Accordingly, it is easy to determine which type of device is suitable for a given space to ventilate.

Draught stabilizer can be mounted behind a typical ventilation grille. In order to do so, remove the grille from its frame first, then fit the stabilizer’s frame behind the mounting frame of the grille and secure it with fitting foam. Stabilizer’s frame is equipped with special holes through which foam can be sprayed inside. After the foam is hardened, mount the stabilizer inside the frame and fit the ventilation grille back.
